Our Origins

EFFY was founded in New York City in 1979 by Mr Effy Hematian, who arrived to the USA, with nothing more than a suitcase, a dream, and a belief that fine jewelry should be accessible to everyone.

What began as a small, family-run workshop built on passion, determination, courage, color, and an eye for detail has grown into North America’s largest jewelry manufacturer – still proudly family-owned and inspired by that same spirit of possibility.

Four decades later, we continue to expand through the Hematian Family Group’s luxury duty-free retail and multimedia marketing divisions. Today, our luxury boutiques are onboard the world’s most prestigious cruise lines – connecting travelers to unforgettable moments through fine jewelry, storytelling, and the art of retail.
